Policy consistency: The Conversation last year, the ABC today?

Last year the government withdrew its funding from the pseudo-academic website The Conversation, saying its aggressive expansion appeared to indicate it could stand on its own two feet.

That was the official line. There was another, unstated reason: that it peddled nothing but clickbait and leftie shite in competition with the commercial media.


In the interests of consistency in policy are we going to see the same rule applied to another aggressive trespasser onto what was once the private sector’s domain, using The Conversation’s crap — the ABC?
