You see your argument has been championed in the last century by hunting groups as you have had support of very rich people, your ideas of hunting was never about CONservation but about the freedom of the wealthy to do as they pleased with their money and power and these people enjoy the ‘thrill to kill’ hence why they pay hundreds of thousands of pounds/dollars, which by the way goes to the few corrupt government politicians and officials. You are the perfect example of someone who cannot understand that it doesn’t make sense to kill an endangered animal and call it sport, again and again you people give us the same old tried and tested and failed arguments. ‘Hunting is a sport’, ‘hunting funds local communities’, ‘hunting gives the meat to local communities’, ‘hunting brings money to the economy’, ‘hunting helps to increase the wildlife numbers’ and yet every single argument has failed. Hunting is not a sport, sport involves people who accept that each participant has the same equal chance to complete, hunting does not bring as much as income as photo tourism, the local communities do not want the meat given to them as they much prefer to stand on their two feet and earn their income through a decent stable salary which hunting does not provide. Your comment is also typical which lacks facts and figures, you say ‘They would rather see all hunting banned and suffer the consequences than swallow their pride and accept the benefits. Rather than protect animals and birds, they’d rather see them die out than have their sensibilities offended.’ do you not see that for 100 years you people have hunted animals on every continent killing millions on the process, has it worked to increase the number of elephants or rhinos, the tigers or lions overall? No it hasn’t we are in a far worst place than ever before, so hunting of all forms must seize to exist and stop contributing to the extinction of species the earth faces.
