When I did Maths in college we used to have the ‘four fours’ game. You have to make numbers from 1 upwards using exactly 4 fours – not 3 fours or 5 fours, 4 fours. You can use any artithmetic operator so long as it involves no other number. So you can use a division sign but not a square root because that really involves a 2.
