Lol well I rather had in mind cultures that had transcended the natural state or at least developed the wheel and recorded language. Subsisting at the mercy of the environment like a troupe of benobos who can make stone tools and tell each other about it might be a kind of success I suppose. But then you could include all the higher apes in that category
