“Relative Success” ;
The most successful culture in human history is the hunter gatherer cultures that have been in unbroken existence for at least 40,000 years. Compare that to any other culture in human history and they are all flash in the pan by comparison.

What kind of arbitrary time line are you imposing on defining “success of a culture”?
