“Israel… has nothing to do with Jews”

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas — now in the thirteenth year of his four-year term — has delivered a “wide-ranging” two-hour speech during a conference of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO)’s Central Council on Sunday.

Among the highlights:

“Europeans wanted to bring the Jews here to preserve their interests in the region. They asked Holland, which had the world’s largest fleet, to move the Jews.”

Then, quoting an Egyptian philosopher’s words on the Balfour Declaration on providing a national home for the Jewish people, Abbas said, “Israel is a colonial project that has nothing to do with Jews.”

The “Palestinian” “Authority” “President” thinks that Israel is some sort of a European conspiracy to keep the region colonised and subjugated. This is truly a great foundation for making a lasting peace.

Curiously, I can’t find any of the mainstream media reports of the speech quoting Abbas on the dastardly Dutch shipping Jews to oppress Arabs on Europe’s behalf – all of them focusing instead on the President A’s slapdown of Trump for his recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

The BBC doesn’t.

SBS doesn’t.

The Sydney Morning Herald doesn’t.

CNN doesn’t.

The New York Times doesn’t.

TIME doesn’t.

I could go on, but you get the picture.

Clearly, it is far more important for the Western news audiences to know how Trump’s recklessness is destroying the chance for peace in the Middle East, rather than a buffoon who is not interested in any reasonable deal with the Jewish st…, er, the European colony.
