Joyce is still showing more leadership than Turnbull

Anger being hurled at Barnaby Joyce is misplaced; even now he’s showing more leadership than Turnbull could ever dream of.

Say what you like about Joyce’s affair, he refuses to budge and that is the first sign of a true leader.

While limp lettuce Malc has admitted that his wife wears the trousers in his relationship, and was the fem-mind behind the laughable ‘bonk ban’, Joyce stands firm.

He may be on personal leave this week, while Turnbull flies over at taxpayer’s expense to take orders from US President Donald Trump, but Joyce has stepped up leadership of his new relationship.

“The one thing that has deeply annoyed me is an inference that this child is less worthy than other children,” Joyce told Fairfax.

That is indeed the implication from Turnbull labelling the affair a “shocking error of judgement”. Continuing, “He has set off a world of woe for those women and appalled all of us.” His implication that this unborn child is a “world of woe” is despicable.

In reality, many are appalled that the wife of our supposed leader is writing the script and dictating our government’s process. Who elected her?

Joyce also makes the point that what happened (his affair with his former staffer) is between him and God. He is correct.

“This should be a very simple story – a bloke whose marriage broke down is in a relationship with another person and they are having a child. Now it seems to have gone into some sort of morality discussion. That’s between me and my God,” he tells SMH.

To imply that because this man’s marriage broke down, he had an affair and is now having a child with another woman equals proof he was a hypocrite in the SSM debate is misguided.

Insisting marriage is between a man and a woman does not mean it will last. Anyone suggesting otherwise needs to better scrutinise their understanding of Christian teachings around marriage.
