The independent New South Wales bushfire inquiry — led by former NSW Police deputy commissioner Dave Owens and former NSW chief scientist Mary O’Kane — has concluded hazard-reduction burns should be greatly increased.

What a breath of good sense. If there is no fuel, there can be no fire.
