It’s been a big week for Daniel Andrews. He has revealed that his “roadmap” out of lockdown is as reliable as a broken Boy Scout compass, Victoria has overtaken New South Wales in daily rates of infection, the state’s workplace safety authority has charged the health department he used to oversee with breaches of the Occupational Health and Safety Act over the bungled hotel quarantine program and, yet again, he’s won the wooden spoon for Covid management.
The #IStandWithDan-ers and the various Twitter bots operated by his media machine do their best to drum up support for the Premier — aided and abetted by various useful idiots at the ABC and The Age and so forth — but the punters know better.
This week’s Essential Poll doesn’t just put Andrews back at the bottom of the Covid class but gives him yet another failing grade.
Perhaps more interesting is Essential’s polling on the NSW and Victorian roadmaps.
True, it’s coming off a low base, but the conclusion is clear. Voters simply don’t trust Daniel Andrews coronavirus management.
