BOSTON, UNITED STATES — It wasn’t even a year ago the American people were assured Saudi Arabia would finally be brought to justice for their role in the 9/11 attacks. President Obama vetoed a bill (the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act, or JASTA) that would’ve allowed the families of 9/11 victims to sue the Saudis over their alleged role in the attacks, but Congress overturned the veto 348-77.
