Normalising “modest” wear. Afraid to be accused of bigotry or, even worse, being judgmental, media and business buy into the narrative:
Accepting that modesty requires to completely cover your hair (if not the face), and generally not to leave a square inch of your flesh showing except perhaps for your hands, logically means that you deem all other attire –- i.e. pretty much what everyone else is wearing around the world — is immodest.
Thanks for considering a few billion women to be sluts, guys. You’re doing wonders for women’s rights.
