Turnbull and the Prez
Sir: Peta Credlin (‘Turnbull, the G-G, Porter and Dutton’, July 6) writes an incisive article on the allegations that ex-PM Turnbull tried to circumvent the constitution in order to shore-up his own survival. However, as part of her larger theme, Ms Credlin makes the assumption that it would have been ‘easier’ for ‘someone like him to have got away with constitutional vandalism had Australia been a republic’ with a President.
