Flat White

How soon until we’re told that they’re the real victims?

It’s been the outrage story of the day, the tale of walking arguments against lip filler and botox Olivia Muranga and Diana Lasu, who allegedly allegedly allegedly allegedly and have found themselves in a pile of shit bigger than all the manure needed to tend all the nation’s botanic gardens annually.

The pair appear to represent all that is wrong with our current culture of narcissism; their total self-absorption, their total selfishness and their total self-delusion that they’re anything other than nasty, fugly fools.

But wait… Are they, to use 2020’s term, also POCs? Surely, no matter what, someone, somewhere will be able to fit them in the oppressed. They’re women, for starters. Millennials.

If so, how long until we’re being told that the pair are the real victims?

Keep an eye on The Guardian Australia, the ABC, the Conversation and Crikey — even outlets that have put the boot into both today, like The SMAge.

Odds are they’ll soon be telling us that capitalism and a desire to fit in with the oppressor class is the real reason behind their (alleged alleged alleged alleged) misadventures.

Editor’s note: The answer to our question was not long — and, naturally, the race card got played.
