It is a truth universally acknowledged that in the tradition expressed in the question famously asked by the Roman magistrate, Lucius Cassius, ‘Cui bono?’ (who benefits from this?) we should ‘follow the money’.

The answers would explain the Albanese government’s curious and disjointed programme which should mean a jam-packed federal corruption commission agenda.
