The Silicon Valley giant became a fact-checker, an unaccountable arbiter of truth, a manipulator of public discourse, and a gatekeeper of ‘science’. Its corporate conflict of interest and political preference has been the subject of ongoing and very serious discussions in America – a situation that will no doubt continue to deteriorate as faith in the ‘safe and effective’ messaging collapses.
