Having emerged from the courtroom where Justice Michael Lee delivered his decision on the Lehrmann v Network Ten Pty Limited defamation trial, a senior lawyer representing one the defendants declared to the media and the public within earshot that Brittany Higgins was a ‘rape victim’ and that ‘His Honour has found that Bruce Lehrmann is a rapist’.
