This week, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez formally recognised a Palestinian state. His Deputy Yolanda Díaz went further effectively de-recognising Israel, saying that ‘Palestine will be free from the river to the sea’ and calling on the EU to break all agreements it has with Israel, investigate war crimes, and end the sale and purchase of arms.
