Politicians routinely resort to name calling. It is unseemly. Sometimes they resort to personal attacks. All sides do it. When this happens the victim and his side loudly disparage the tactic in terms such as ‘this does you no credit’. This never occurs to them when they themselves chance upon the opportunity to unload a bit of dirt.
